Skate to Cure is an annual figure skating show put on by the Highland Skating Club Junior Board. This show is held as a fundraiser for Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. As a skating club, cancer has directly affected us. One of our coaches is a survivor of stage 4 colon cancer, and one of the rink owners recently won the fight to breast cancer. As a club we believe in this cause and it means a great deal to us that we have the opportunity to help find a cure for cancer.
